Your Inquiry. Your Organisation Type Select Corporate eg. Public Sector eg. Job Title. Phone Number. There is also a mouse anchor under the monitor that can keep your mouse cable in place. Can be height-adjusted, swiveled left or right, and tilted into portrait orientation, so good ergonomics.
RGB lights under the monitor and an RGB hexagon light in the back can be configured with rainbow, breathing, and static color patters in the on-screen display OSD. I like the overall aesthetic of the monitor - clean is what I'd describe it. No aggressive gamer aesthetics and obnoxious RGB patterns.
This is obviously my opinion only and looks are subjective, but it could pass for a minimalist-looking monitor outside of the ELITE logo. Quite possibly the worst OSD menu I've seen. The text is noticeably jagged and pixelated. The whole OSD menu is in grayscale color with white and black text on a gray background. Oh, and you have to turn on the background too as out of the box, it's set to transparent.
White text on a nearly transparent background is almost unreadable, so you'll need to put your eyes close to adjust it. This is the kind of OSD you would see in a cheap business monitor where you don't expect the user to adjust anything outside of maybe brightness. For a monitor of this price and performance, this is unacceptable. No idea what ViewSonic was thinking of here. This isn't exactly a solution you can figure out easily on your own and I was stumped for a while until I found a Reddit post detailing the fix for this ViewSonic really needs to work on improving their software.
The response time of the monitor varies depending on what overdrive setting you have it on. Out of the box, mine was set to Faster the middle setting , which a review measured to be a 7. The Fastest setting reduces it to about 5. Setting it to Standard, however, ups the average response time to 9.
As long as you use the Faster OD setting or better, you should be fine, but it's a bit disappointing for what's advertised as a gaming monitor. Keep in mind using the higher overdrive settings might introduce reverse ghosting, though I haven't tested for it myself. This uses the exact same panel as this ViewSonic monitor, so performance is identical. It also has the aggressive gamer aesthetic that all other ROG monitors have.
And as of the time of writing, it's pretty much sold out everywhere. If you want the extra HDMI 2. Also sold out everywhere as of the time of writing. Unlike the other two, this monitor also has an additional USB-C port for an extra video connection only outputs 15W of power for charging though. If you want the most ports, this is the best alternative. I didn't consider this a viable alternative to the XGU because of these reasons, but if HDR performance and color quality are not at the top of your list, this is a cheaper alternative.
It is, however, out of stock everywhere. Personally, a 32" monitor is probably the largest monitor size I'm comfortable with. Fantastic color quality and good aesthetics and ergonomics convinced me to purchase this. The cons I listed are minor issues for me personally. Gorgeous screen! It's a beautiful monitor. Almost no side or top bezels. Nice non-glare matte finish. Bright but not brassy. I would absolutely agree that it has a hideous, non-intuitive OSD menu.
One of the worst behind Monoprice monitor's tiny joystick. Cannot get the Elite Display Controller to ever work and it requires a codec installation that has avoidable extra installs. They included high quality cables in the package. The box itself is like opening a jigsaw. Lay it down on the bottom and open the TOP.
I had no dead or stuck pixels and the brightness under HDR is very good. So is text. Never could overdrive it to but really don't care is just fine. Style: Inch Hz Verified Purchase. This review is for the XGQ. I purchased 3. They arrived on time and the packaging was undamaged, although one came with packing tape sealing it the other 2 didn't. The good: The monitors are bright, the color space and depth accurate and good, and 2K resolution well done and you get hz through the Display port.
Would've been nice if it was hz as well. However, as an FYI, when connecting to the HDMI ports you can get 4K 60hz sometimes it happens and they don't market it for its full capabilities which is great for photo editing and even console gaming. There is matte finish on the display. The build quality is good, and the base is not too big, nice looking and sturdy. The monitors can be easily raised, tilted, swiveled, and rotated.
The added features for a headset hanger, mouse cable guides which there are 2, one on each side , RGB on the back and underneath the bottom bezel, which could be brighter maybe but I haven't really tested any good situations for it yet and USB hub are nice touches that enhance your gaming or desk setup, helping to keep your peripherals organized and look spiffy. In the case of the hub it adds more USB ports for your setup.
It is G-Sync compatible, as my laptop notified me that a G-Sync compatible display was attached and you enable it Nvidia settings. This is just as good as monitors that have G-sync only modules, since it allows for Free sync as well and is less expensive. The bezels on top and sides are narrow and the bottom is not too bad. Overall I like what these monitors have to offer a lot. The On screen menu is fairly easy to use; wish they used another interface to navigate the menu than the joystick knob manufacturers are fond of using.
The Bad: 2 monitors have 1 stuck pixel each not dead pixels and the other one has 2 stuck pixels. They are not dead center but close to it. There are no other physical issue with them, and the light bleeding is pretty close to non-existent but now I am wondering with what ifs. Do more pixels get stuck or are there other issues that may arise. So check everything out before your 30 days expire, which mine hasn't yet.
And keep the boxes in case something does arise before the 30 days. So 4 stars. The other issue, which is common with many monitors is that when certain settings are enabled other settings are blocked from customizing. Like I said before I haven't gone through all the settings but it would nice to be able to change settings slightly when selecting a certain mode or enabling Adaptive sync.
I'm sure they optimize it but everyone has different eyes. This isn't a deal breaker though. This a great monitor if it's flawless. Overall the package is great, 4k hdmi 2. Things just looked kinda dull. I tried fussing with the custom settings but could not get the pop like what showed on my Asus VG27AQ.
I ended up returning the display for the Asus with the similar panel at 32in HDR looked good on this panel. See all reviews. Top reviews from other countries. Translate all reviews to English. Listen, if you want it for that competitive edge. You are better off on a smaller monitor to begin with. However, as a work monitor. IT is glorious. With the PS 5. It is glorious though if you work in a very bright room, I would wait till end of to see what options there are with upcoming mini LED monitors.
I was hesitant to switch away from Ben Q and Asus I am not a huge fan of Samsung monitors , but this is really good. The menu system is very good. But the software tool does not work even with the audio source turned to the monitor, at least it doesn't work with windows I haven't had flickering issues that some have.
But do look out for that. Good monitor. Les couleurs sont magnifiques, le HDR dans les jeux et films aussi bien sur xbox sur sur PC est vraiment bluffant. Report abuse Translate review to English. Very happy with my purchase. Colors are vivid, easy to setup and looking sleak.
Report abuse. Extremely well made, be sure to change your refresh rate in windows as it does default to 60Hz not Dead pixel on arrival but on the overall great monitor. Your recently viewed items and featured recommendations. Back to top. Get to Know Us.

There are picture modes and separate game modes that all affect the image in different ways. I also had to delve in to find basic brightness and contrast sliders. But everything needed for a great picture is there, along with a few gaming features like aiming points, blur reduction and refresh overclock. HDR works fine with its Auto mode switching seamlessly between signal types.
PureXP is the blur-reduction feature. It has four levels where more blur reduction means less light. It is effective, but there is slight ghosting visible. The better alternative is to use Adaptive-Sync and the five-level overdrive. Its second setting, Fast, strikes a good balance between ghosting and clarity, maintaining solid motion resolution when the action gets intense.
There are six color temp presets, which include a set of RGB sliders. You can adjust gamma with six accurate presets from 1. This is one of the few monitors that looks better set to 2. There are two menus that affect image modes: Game Modes and ViewMode. In the Setup menu, you find a selection of aiming points, three shapes in three colors for nine total choices.
There is no frame counter feature. Also here is the Elite RGB lighting control. You can choose from three different effects and all the colors of the spectrum for both back and base lighting. These are great for large monitors like this and the XGU supports simultaneous display of two input signals. Left at its factory default settings, the XGU does not need calibration.
The default gamma is set to 2. It delivers tracking just over 2. My only gripe is there is no way to control the size of the color gamut. If you want to tweak the grayscale, my recommended settings are below. In HDR mode, there are no picture options available, but I found it to be very accurate as well with an effective dynamic contrast feature included.
It controls color, so detail is not lost, which is sometimes an issue with extended color panels. I was able to manage spreadsheets and documents and even edit graphics with no problem. Tomb Raider is a go-to for evaluating color. It features many different environments with palettes that range from warm and red to cold and blue. Anywhere the predominant tint was blue looked fantastic with bright highlights and deep shadows with natural hues. Warmer areas like beaches and jungles were a bit overblown.
Detail was still finely rendered, but greens and reds looked too vivid. The blue skies and green forests of s Europe were completely believable. The Ultra HD resolution brought out super small bits like razor stubble and individual beads of sweat. The textures of heavily used weapons or scuffed armor plate looked like I could actually feel them if I touched the screen. Video processing was solid in all respects. PureXP is available for players who want a backlight strobe instead of AS. It reduces blur to almost nothing, but I saw some slight ghosting in finely detailed textures.
It also reduces brightness too much on its higher settings. The Light option was the best. In fact, I could not detect its operation except for the random frame tears that appeared because AS was turned off. The overdrive is very effective when coupled with Adaptive-Sync.
It has five settings, of which Fast, the second, is best. Doom Eternal has plenty of fine detail in building interiors and it was all well preserved as I battled my way through hordes of enemies. The XGU is a very capable Ultra HD gaming monitor with solid video processing and ridiculously good color saturation. Current page: Features and Specifications.
